JUUST CAREER P (“we” “us” “our”) is a career and talent advisory firm operating from 341, Nagindas Building, S V P Road, Girgaon, Mumbai – 400 004, Maharashtra, India. We operate the website juustcareer.com and related digital services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information about you when you use our platform or engage with our services. It is published in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Registration data: name, email address, phone number, password
- Profile data: resume/CV, work experience, education, skills, salary expectations
- Application data: job applications, cover letters, interview responses
- Communication data: messages you send us via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp
- Payment data: billing details for premium services (processed via secure third-party gateways; we do not store card numbers)
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Browser type, device type, operating system, IP address
- Pages visited, time spent, referring URLs
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- When you sign in via Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those providers
- Information shared by partner employers with your consent
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To match you with relevant job opportunities
- To share your profile with prospective employers (only with your explicit consent)
- To deliver premium career services you have purchased
- To send you relevant job alerts, career content, and platform updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To improve our platform through analytics and user research
- To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes
We will never sell your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Employers: your resume and application details are shared with the specific employer you apply to, or with employers we approach on your behalf (always with your prior knowledge)
- Service providers: trusted vendors who operate infrastructure, payment processing, or analytics on our behalf, bound by data-processing agreements
- Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of JUUST CAREER P or third parties
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the successor entity under the same protections
5. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is being used. These are the periods, and an automated process enforces them every night:
- Your account and everything in it (profile, uploaded resume, ATS reports, applications, saved resumes, messages): for as long as the account is active. If you have not signed in for 24 months, we email you and show a notice in the portal; if you still have not signed in 30 days later, the account and all of the above are deleted. One sign-in is enough to keep it.
- ATS reports made without an account (the free preview and the paid checker used as a guest): the report, including the text of the resume you uploaded, is deleted 90 days after it was created.
- Messages you send us (the contact form, a request for a consultant): 24 months.
- Notifications shown in the portal: 180 days.
- Temporary upload files that a failed upload left behind: removed after 24 hours.
If you delete your account yourself (see section 6), your personal data is removed immediately, not after 30 days: the deletion runs as one transaction and is logged without your details. What survives a deletion is what the law requires us to keep: payment records for 8 years under Indian tax law, with your name, email and phone removed from them, and an entry noting that a deletion happened, which contains no personal data.
Profiles in our recruiter talent pool, which come from resumes sent to us for placement, are reviewed against the same 24-month rule and removed on request at any time (section 6).
6. Your Rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data (“right to erasure”)
- Withdraw consent for processing at any time
- Nominate a representative to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity
- Grievance redressal, raise a complaint with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

7. Cookies
Two kinds of cookies are used, and only one of them is optional.
- Essential cookies keep you signed in (short-lived access and refresh tokens that scripts on the page cannot read), protect the sign-in with Google or GitHub round trip, and remember the choice you make in the cookie banner. The platform cannot work without them, so they are not subject to consent.
- Analytics cookies come from Google Analytics and are set only after you accept them in the banner that appears on your first visit. They tell us which pages are used and how the site performs, with your IP address anonymised. Your resume, profile and messages are never sent to analytics. Choose “Essential only” and no analytics script is loaded at all.
You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Error reporting (Sentry) runs without cookies and without personal data, so that we can fix faults; it is part of operating the service and does not involve tracking.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Some emails about a webinar you registered for, such as the one with your assessment access code, contain a tiny image and a personal link. They tell us whether the email was opened and whether the link was clicked, so we can follow up with people who have not received or used it. We use this for nothing else. Your email program can block images if you prefer.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, access controls, and regular security reviews, to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
No transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has registered, we will delete the account promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-platform notice. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
